About the Role:

The primary purpose of the of the Security Analyst role is to ensure CDC’s property, assets and systems are secure and complying with government and security industry standards.

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of CDC’s Security policies and plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring sensitive and classified materials entrusted to CDC is managed in accordance with the DSPF and PSPF.
  • Managing and maintaining the Security Clearance requirements for the CDC Team and approved contractors.
  • Managing and maintaining the CDC Security Register.
  • Responsible for ensuring CDC AGSVA Security Sponsored people are meeting their DISP requirements including change of circumstances.
  • Facilitating CDC’s annual security awareness training of personnel.
  • Reporting security incidents and fraud incidents, and contact reports, in accordance with Defence policy.
  • Responsible for CDC’s Security audit and assurance activities.
  • Responsible for CDC’s presales security RFIs.
  • Management and coordination of CDC security correspondence for security requests from the CDC Team, Clients, and approved contractors.
  • Working with all the CDC Security delivery teams to ensure CDC maintains a high level of security
  • CCTV forensic analysis support

About You:

  • High focus on security and experience in security risk management 
  • Good understanding of the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework and Information Security Manual
  • Good understanding of the Defence Security Principles Framework.
  • Good understanding of TIA-942.
  • A team player with effective communications skills 
  • High customer focus and ability to prioritise task appropriately 
  • Excellent presentation and training skills


Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
